SPRING TERM 2023 recap

Last term at YPS. It was a film/television focused term.  The students wrote and directed their own pieces. Their scripts were created individually using devising technique, they were then given the opportunity to include their peers in their short film. They worked with our filmmaker, Yusuf Bhaimia and with professional camera equipment over several weeks to bring their films to life.

This Term overview
This term we will be getting back to professional acting technique and widening our 'actors toolbox'. Recapping some vital Stanislavski technique, but learning a few new methods through visiting industry workshops.

The final project of the term will be a showcase to parents and guests, that will demonstrate their new skills and give the opportunity to all students to perform a variety of characters and situations. This will be on the last day of term.

Industry workshops: TV Casting workshop with actor Molly Wright and Fight Combat session with actor and stuntman, Marcello Walton

SPRING TERM 2023 recap

Last term at YPS, it was a film/television focused term.  The students wrote and directed their own pieces. They were given an interested script to work off and each pair was asked to write a following scene. The variety of interesting and gripping scenes from each student pair was brilliant.

They worked with our filmmaker, Yusuf Bhaimia and with professional camera equipment over several weeks to bring their films to life.

SPRING TERM 23 recap

What an extraordinary spring term. The students performed As You Like It at the Esher Theatre. Their performances were professional, comedic and entertaining. Working towards a classical show is truly an achievement and all of our students have elevated their skills tremendously.

The students will have the opportunity to work with a variety of contemporary scripts whilst learning or recapping some vital technique.
