As this area is in Tier 4, like most of the country, it is likely that we will beginning our term via the Virtual Studio (zoom). So far, this has been a great success - making two films remotely during the first national lockdown and inviting the parents in for a virtual performance last term.

To keep our sessions interesting and exciting, whilst building professional skills, we are planning to have multiple industry visits during our virtual sessions this coming term. So all of our students must bring their A-game!

Our termly audition to attend weekly sessions (in person or online) is on the 26th January. We are still planning to run this audition and will do so virtually if necessary. If you would like to apply to audition, please head over to Join YPS. 

Focus

Continuing with our thorough training, we will focusing on technique for film and theatre. To accompany our exciting shakespeare workshop, we will be working on some classical text. The young actors in training will learn how to intepret and perform the text, but will also be able to devise their own modern version. This will be filmed and edited professional at the end of term. A chance for the students to apply what they have learnt. Students will always receive a copy of  their footage. 

Workshops

Amoungst our weekly classes, YPS of Acting includes a minimum of 3 workshops/masterclasses per term. However, because we will be online for at least part of the term, we are going to include MORE industry visitis. These are specialised skills taught by visiting industry professionals, such as actors, directors, casting directors, producers. So far we have confirmed the following:
