Suitable for anyone looking to apply to accredited UK drama schools

Intensive two term course with RADA trained, drama school audition expert and actor.

Is this course for you?

- You are planning to audition to drama school in 2024/2025.
- Looking to start your drama school foundation or BA degree in September 2025 or 2026.
-Have recently auditioned for drama schools and been unsuccessful and would like some training before auditioning again. 
-You are planning to audition, but feel unsure as to how to start and would like some professional expert direction. 
-You are aged 16 and over. 


YPS of Acting work closely with Fourth Monkey and have a progression pathway with Fourth Monkey Drama School in Finsbury Park, North London.

This means that any student of YPS that would like to apply would skip the first stage of auditions (self-taping) and go straight to the online 1 to 1 audition round.

Drama School Auditions Course 

The Process

Intensive two term course with RADA trained, drama school audition expert and actor, Sophie Bloor.

Sophie has successfully trained countless students for drama school and has a wealth of knowledge in this area.

Over the two terms you will: 

-Choose your pieces 

-Learn to analyse each text 

-Learn about professional acting technique to use with your performances 

-Learn about each drama school audition and how to approach different elements

-The opportunity to perform to the group and Sophie will boost confidence and skill

Summer 2024
Term 1

-In a supportive and knowledgeable setting you will select your suited contemporary and classical speeches.

-Learn how to analyse each piece like a professional. Understanding the character and context is vital. 

-Hands-on learning style when learning and covering some natural acting technique and how to approach your roles. 

-Performance to course expert and group at least once a session with notes and guidance. 

Autumn 2024
Term 2

-Go deeper in detail with each speech and learn to take risks and keep the pieces fresh.  

-Intensive audition technique training, a full understanding of each drama school audition. 

-How to apply, approach different aspects of the application process and how to manage audition circumstances. 

-Continuing weekly performances to course expert and the group with detailed notes.

Sophie Bloor

Sophie Bloor is an actor and playwright from Ilkeston. A small town between Nottingham and Derby. She studied at RADA and The London School of Method Acting, alongside being a member of the BAFTA award winning Television Workshop, Soho Theatre's Comedy Lab and The National Youth Theatre.

Sophie has worked extensively in film, theatre and in voice work since leaving drama school.


When Sophie isn't acting or writing, she trains young people for their professional auditions and drama school auditions. Sophie has an impressive track record with over half of her students receiving offers from drama schools in their first year of auditioning.
